In a surprising partnership that breaks conventional predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering free extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Uncovered

According to the official announcement, "A strange encounter leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where hints of prohibited ceremonies and monstrous transformations echo through the shadows." The storyline presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a clandestine sect.

The questline concentrates on "bizarre experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Transformations

The preview features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview concludes with a powerful moment showing a character, likely the hostage, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who successfully complete the quest will acquire an unique katana together with numerous items secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
